Remplissage Plus
Remplissage Plus is a novel medical device and surgical technique for repairing the bony defect of a Bankart lesion using autograft, arthroscopically addressing recurrent anterior shoulder instability. The approach is minimally invasive and has been shown to reduce recurrence rates compared to existing repair methods. Currently at TRL 3–4, the device has progressed from concept to early lab-based proof-of-concept validation, backed by a Penn Health-Tech accelerator grant, with particular relevance for active-duty service members, for whom shoulder instability is a leading cause of lost duty time.

Earable Intelligence is developing EI1, a noninvasive ear-worn wearable for neuromonitoring. Using a novel edge-AI approach, EI1 conducts real-time neurological assessment entirely on-device, enabling its use in austere environments where wireless connections cannot be relied upon. This permits triage of head injuries in the field by nonspecialists, ensuring appropriate prolonged casualty care measures are rapidly enacted.
