What We Do

Wearable Pain Blocker

We're developing a Wearable Pain Blocker (WPB), which uses magnetic coils (MCs) to noninvasively transmit analgesic stimulation to block peripheral nerve conduction. When the WPB is worn proximal to a limb injury, pain from that injury will be blocked. The WPB will enable on-demand analgesia, facilitating pain management and medical care, and minimizing challenges associated with drugs. Reach out to us for the latest information on this break-through technology!

The ATLIS device is the solution for patient immobilization for military long transport. Proper immobilization and shock load reduction is essential to reduce the comorbidity risk associated with moving injured patients. The ATLIS platform was developed with SBIR support (Phases I – III) in response to this need. This device provides reduced patient motion for improved spinal immobilization, superior pressure redistribution to reduce tissue stress points, shock and vibration isolation, and innovative attachment of ancillary equipment.

Exposure Health

The collection of contextual data surrounding exposure to a variety of environmental health hazards is critical to understand the link between certain activities and adverse health outcomes. We have developed a modern, scalable, and automated system that provides context and location awareness to environmental and physiological exposures through real-time monitoring, aiding industrial hygienists with health risk assessments. This includes a custom-designed, handheld, chemical and particulate detection system.

Cold Weather Gear

Our next-gen cold weather gear fills a critical gap where off-the-shelf products fall short. Traditional flight boots don’t offer enough frostbite protection in tight, freezing aircraft spaces. Commercial heated gear lacks the toughness and reliability for military missions. Our solution delivers: a slim, flame-resistant liner that fits existing boots, activates only when needed, and withstands the rigors of duty. More than warm—they’re smart, durable, and mission-ready. And this tech isn't just for boots—it has potential across a range of military medical needs.

Human Health and Performance Monitoring

Our health and performance monitoring sensor solutions address the critical needs of occupational heat stress prevention, performance optimization, and rehabilitation assistance. We engineer custom stand-alone electronic wearable sensors, biosensors, and the associated algorithms for deployable human health monitoring solutions.

Mobility Virtual Assistant

Mobility Virtual Assistant platform, enables continued training from a physical therapist after the patient leaves the clinic. Through a tailorable training application and wearable sensors, the clinician is empowered via increased diagnostic information, inside and outside the clinic, ultimately increasing the stability, balance, and mobility of the patient. The sensor package integrates a smartwatch for detailed feedback to inform that patient in real time, enabling a correction prior to a fall event. The goal is to further inform the clinician with meaningful data while providing the patient with a virtual clinician that stays with them after they leave the clinic.
