BLASTID

BLASTID is a diagnostics company spun out of Harvard, focused on developing ultra-rapid, culture-free direct-from-blood diagnostics for bloodstream infections and sepsis. Leveraging microfluidics, live-cell super-resolution imaging, and AI-powered image analysis, BLASTID enables identification and phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) from whole blood in hours rather than days. Their mission is to accelerate actionable clinical insights to guide effective and timely treatment, addressing critical challenges in sepsis care and antimicrobial resistance.
