Protein Laboratories Rehovot Ltd. (PLR) was founded in August 2003 and specializes in producing biologically active recombinant proteins, including cytokines, receptors, hormones, and growth factors. The company is committed to research and development in molecular biology and biochemistry, offering a range of recombinant proteins for laboratory research. It is the only company producing leptin antagonists and leptins of farm animals, including several fish species, and provides a novel pegylation service for proteins.
