VelocityTX is a San Antonio-based 501(c)(3) accelerating bioscience and medtech technologies from preclinical through clinical trials — with a focused niche in trauma, prehospital, and disaster care. We're building a 12-acre innovation district on San Antonio's East Side, anchored by the Merchants Ice Complex and the future G.J. Sutton property, to serve as a regional hub for biosciences, dual-use technology, and military medical research. San Antonio's deep bench in military medicine — including BAMC, the DoD's Level I trauma center, the 59th Medical Wing, the US Army Institute of Surgical Research, and the Naval Medical Research Unit — makes it a natural environment for MTEC-aligned work. What we bring to a teaming arrangement: One-stop execution support for startups and research teams navigating preclinical-to-clinical development, reducing administrative and regulatory friction Convening power across academia (UT San Antonio, Southwest Research Institute), industry, DoD partners, and state/local government Place-based infrastructure — wet lab, incubation space, and validation environments on a single campus Workforce and community pipelines through our CBED framework and East Side neighborhood integration We're actively seeking partners for trauma and prehospital care R&D, dual-use medical technology validation, and workforce development tied to military medical innovation.
