Ri.MED Foundation
The Foundation Ri.MED, based in Palermo, promotes, supports, and conducts biomedical and biotechnological research projects, facilitating the rapid transfer of innovative results into clinical practice. It is engaged in the development of the Center for Biotechnology and Biomedical Research (CBRB), which will serve as a reference hub for researchers worldwide. The foundation collaborates with strategic partners such as the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and IRCCS-ISMETT, and has developed numerous patents. Its mission includes translating biotechnological and biomedical research into new treatments, promoting scientific culture, and fostering innovation and development in Southern Italy. The foundation maintains transparency and integrity through detailed public documentation and governance practices.
