News & Updates

Remedy Pharmaceuticals announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has allowed two additional patents covering its large hemispheric infarction (LHI) drug, CIRARA (IV glyburide). The allowances include a claim covering the use of CIRARA’s active pharmaceutical ingredient, glyburide, or any other SUR1-TRPM4 inhibitor, to treat patients with a LHI and a lesion volume of 50-125 mL who undergo endovascular therapy (EVT).

Remedy Pharmaceuticals announced efficacy data from the Phase 2 GAMES-RP and Phase 3 CHARM studies of CIRARA (intravenous glyburide) for the treatment of Large Hemispheric Infarction (LHI) presented at the International Stroke Conference (ISC) held February 5–7, 2025.

Remedy Pharmaceuticals announced three speaker presentations of efficacy data from both the Phase 2 GAMES-RP and Phase 3 CHARM study on its stroke drug, CIRARA, at the International Stroke Conference 2025.

Remedy Pharmaceuticals announced that a Type C meeting with the FDA provided valuable feedback on the design of a Phase 3 trial of CIRARA for large hemispheric infarction (LHI). The FDA’s guidance reinforces the potential of CIRARA to address the urgent needs of severe stroke patients.

The FDA granted Orphan Drug Designation for CIRARA for the treatment of large territory acute ischemic stroke, including large hemispheric infarctions. This designation aims to accelerate the development and approval process for this severe stroke condition.

Remedy Pharmaceuticals announced that its Phase 3 trial of CIRARA in large lesion stroke patients showed a statistically significant and sustained effect at 12 months, with improved functional outcomes and increased independent ambulation.
