Organ Preservation Alliance
The Organ Preservation Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to extending the preservation time of human organs and tissues outside the body. Their mission is to catalyze breakthroughs in organ and tissue preservation, which has the potential to transform human health, from organ transplantation to disease research. They work with leaders across science agencies, stakeholders, and media to support preservation research, organize events, and foster collaboration among researchers and clinicians. They also advocate for advancing machine perfusion technology, organ banking, and cryopreservation, aiming to build an 'Organ Banking Apollo Program' to revolutionize biomedicine.
