News & Updates

A drug known as PAC-1, which spurs cancer cells to self-destruct while sparing healthy cells, is moving towards human clinical trials following promising results in cell culture, mouse models, and pet dogs with spontaneously occurring lymphomas and osteosarcomas.

The Phase 1 clinical trial of PAC-1, a procaspase 3 activator, is beginning at the University of Illinois Cancer Center in Chicago. The trial is a dose-escalation study for advanced malignancies.
