NovAb

NovAb develops and commercializes monoclonal antibody technology based on variable lymphocyte receptors (VLRs), antigen receptors from jawless vertebrates. The company focuses on discovery and engineering of small, single-polypeptide VLR antibodies with glycan-targeting specificities, multivalent ligand scaffolds for receptor/cell targeting and delivery, and VLR-based reagents and therapeutic formats (including VLR-Ig chimeras and multivalent polymers).

Products

Variable Lymphocyte Receptors (VLRs)

A new class of monoclonal antibodies from jawless vertebrates composed of tandemly linked leucine-rich repeat domains, distinct from conventional immunoglobulins, enabling novel antigen specificities and multivalent antibody polymers.

VLR-Ig Chimeras

Therapeutic monoclonal antibodies created by replacing Ig variable regions with VLR sequences, combining novel antigen recognition with Ig effector functions and pharmacokinetics.

Services

Collaborative discovery and engineering services for VLR monoclonal antibodies including lamprey immunization, library construction, selection, sequencing, and provision of reagents and protocols; available via technology transfer or licensing arrangements.

Collaborative construction and transfer of multimeric ligand compositions (scaffolds with multiple attached ligands) to support partner R&D including receptor identification, cell targeting, and delivery approaches.
