Bio Detection Systems

BioDetection Systems (BDS) specializes in developing and applying mechanism-based, ultrasensitive, biological monitoring to protect human health and the environment. They offer a range of high-throughput CALUX® reporter assays and complementary technologies for rapid evaluation of toxicity, safety assessments, and identification of beneficial bioactivities. Their mission is to develop and provide innovative bioassays for safety and quality assessment of food, water, environment, consumer products, and chemicals, aiming to replace animal testing with human-relevant in vitro methods. BDS provides services through its own laboratory and under license worldwide, focusing on effect-based bioanalysis for various applications including food safety, water quality, environmental safety, cosmetic safety, and biobased solutions. They are engaged in validation, international guideline incorporation, and promoting regulatory acceptance of their assays.
