If you are a service provider, consultant, or expert with a strong background in medical product development, joining the M-Corps can be highly beneficial. M-Corps Members play a crucial role in supporting MTEC members by providing valuable guidance and assistance.

M-Corps members can participate in proposals as a subcontractor. In the event that an M-Corps member wants to submit a proposal as the prime they will need to submit an application to become a proposing member and pay corresponding dues. An application with all necessary documentation and certificates can be processed in a few business days.

Yes, however per the Department of Commerce review, the following countries are noted to have been involved in either unstable government, civil war, ongoing intense crime or violence, or frequent terrorist attacks. MTEC members seeking to collaborate with companies operating from the following countries* will be subject to additional due diligence with the Defense Security Service. Warnings will remain in place until the situation changes.

An MTEC Proposing Membership is open to companies, universities, foundations and research organizations with specialized knowledge in the technology areas aligned with MTEC’s mission. MTEC proposing members are eligible to apply for funding via MTEC sponsors.

MTEC M-Corps membership is open to service providers, consultants, and subject matter experts offering assistance to MTEC members with their technical, regulatory, and business needs associated with medical product development. M-Corps members may team with MTEC proposing members to support projects proposed for funding.

As of September 3, 2024, it is no longer possible to hold both memberships simultaneously.

This is the Agreement that governs the rights and obligations of the M-Corps Member Organizations as they relate to the organization and operation of the MTEC.

A nontraditional defense contractor means an entity that is not currently performing and has not performed, for at least the one-year period prior to the date of this application, any contract or subcontract for the Department of Defense that is subject to full coverage under the cost accounting standards prescribed pursuant to section 1502 of title 41 and the regulations implementing such section.
