Abstract
Provided is a catheter operating structure in which a medical device such as a stent is rotated to move forward or backward without being repeatedly pushed or pulled when inserted into the lumen of a human body, so that a surgical position can be precisely adjusted by the forward or backward movement. A rotary member includes a spiral shaft formed on a handle so as to be inserted into a tubular body. A movable member includes a female spiral end that is formed at one end thereof and is spirally coupled with the spiral shaft. An injection member moving member moves together with the movable member. When the spiral shaft is rotated by rotation of the handle with the spiral shaft spirally coupled to the female spiral end, the movable member moves forward or backward without being rotated due to the injection member moving member.
Core Innovation
A catheter operating structure is applied to a catheter for inserting a stent or another medical device into a human body in order to distend a blood vessel or a lumen undergoing stricture due to lesion. The structure includes a rotary member with a spiral shaft inserted into one end of a tubular body, and when the spiral shaft is rotated, the movable member moves forward or backward in a lengthwise direction of the tubular body without being rotated.
A female spiral end is formed at one end of the movable member and is spirally coupled with the spiral shaft. An injection member moving member moves together when the movable member moves, or is unlocked to move alone in the lengthwise direction of the movable member, and an injection member passes through the movable member and the tubular body and injects an injector or discharges air.
The tubular body includes body long slots formed on radial opposite sides so that the injection member moving member moves slidably. The movable member includes movable long slots formed on radial opposite sides and matched with the body long slots, and the injection member moving member includes a pair of pressable buttons formed on radial opposite sides that move slidably while being exposed through the body long slots and the movable long slots.
In an embodiment, a rotary member with a spiral shaft coupled to be rotated by driving of a motor rotates in a forward or backward direction by operating a switch exposed from the tubular body. Turning on the switch rotates the spiral shaft, spirally coupling with the female spiral end so that the movable member moves forward or backward without being rotated, and a pivoting switch provides motor-direction control and restores to an original state when released.
Claims Coverage
The document provides two independent claims. Each independent claim centers on converting rotation into lengthwise translation for stent insertion or distension while supporting an injection member that injects an injector or discharges air, with the injection member moving guided by aligned slots and pressable buttons.
Spiral-coupled rotary-to-lengthwise movable member without rotation
A rotary member with a spiral shaft is spirally coupled with a female spiral end formed on a movable member, so that when the spiral shaft is rotated, the movable member moves forward or backward in a lengthwise direction of the tubular body without being rotated.
Injection member passing through movable and tubular body with inject/air discharge
An injection member moving member moves together when the movable member moves or is unlocked to move alone in the lengthwise direction of the movable member, and an injection member passes through the movable member and the tubular body to inject an injector or discharge air and is coupled in the front.
Aligned radial long slots and exposed pressable buttons for slidably moving injection member moving member
The tubular body includes body long slots on radial opposite sides, the movable member includes movable long slots matched with the body long slots, and the injection member moving member includes a pair of pressable buttons on radial opposite sides that move slidably while being exposed through the body long slots and the movable long slots.
Motor forward/backward rotation controlled by switch exposed from tubular body
A rotary member has a spiral shaft coupled to be rotated by driving of a motor rotating in a forward or backward direction, where a switch controlling the motor operation is exposed from the tubular body, and turning on the switch rotates the spiral shaft to drive forward/backward movement of the movable member without rotation.
Across the independent claims, the inventive core is the spirally coupled spiral shaft and female spiral end that translate the movable member forward or backward without rotation, combined with an injection member arranged to inject an injector or discharge air while an injection member moving member is guided by matched long slots and controlled via pressable buttons. In the second independent claim, motor forward/backward rotation is controlled by a switch exposed from the tubular body, with the same translation-and-injection arrangement.
Stated Advantages
Enables a catheter operating structure applied to insert a stent or another medical device to distend a blood vessel or a lumen undergoing stricture due to lesion.
Moves the movable member forward or backward in a lengthwise direction without rotating the movable member.
Allows an injection member to inject an injector or discharge air while passing through the movable member and the tubular body.
Documented Applications
Inserting a stent or another medical device into a human body to distend a blood vessel or a lumen undergoing stricture due to lesion.
