Abstract

A support element for test-tubes and the like, including an annular body adapted to be fitted on a test-tube and provided with connection means among several support elements to allow the formation of a chain having additional support elements, wherein the connection means are a spherical joint.

Core Innovation

The invention relates to a support element for test-tubes and the like. The support element comprises an annular body adapted to be fitted on a test-tube and connection means among several support elements to allow the formation of a chain comprising additional support elements, wherein the connection means are a spherical joint comprising a spherical seat and a spherical appendix.

The support element is formed by two coupled semi-shells. Each coupled semi-shell is provided with a substantially semi-spherical shaped semi-seat, the semi-seats forming the spherical seat when the two semi-shells are coupled, and the two coupled semi-shells further comprise corresponding seats defining a receiving seat delimited by a plurality of elastically yielding tabs for stably receiving a test tube.

The semi-seats are delimited by corresponding semi-circular edges defining an inlet opening of the spherical seat when the support element is assembled. The spherical joint enables shaking/turning over of individual test-tubes while remaining attached to the chain, and the support element further includes provision for an identification device in a dedicated seat to identify patient/sample/exam position.

Claims Coverage

The partial content provides one independent claim (clm-00001). The claim sets out a spherical-joint connection for a chain of test-tube support elements, a two-coupled-semi-shell construction forming a spherical seat and a receiving seat, elastically yielding tabs for stably receiving a test tube, and inlet opening geometry defined by semi-circular edges.

Annular support element connectable in a chain by a spherical joint

A support element for test-tubes and the like, comprising an annular body adapted to be fitted on a test-tube and provided with connection means among several support elements to allow the formation of a chain comprising additional support elements, wherein the connection means are a spherical joint comprising a spherical seat and a spherical appendix.

Two coupled semi-shells forming a spherical seat and a receiving seat with elastically yielding tabs

The support element is formed by two coupled semi-shells, each of the coupled semi-shells being provided with a substantially semi-spherical shaped semi-seat, the semi-seats forming the spherical seat when the two semi-shells are coupled wherein the two coupled semi-shells further comprise corresponding seats defining a receiving seat when the element is assembled, said receiving seat being delimited by a plurality of elastically yielding tabs for stably receiving a test tube.

Inlet opening of the spherical seat defined by semi-circular edges

The semi-seats are delimited by corresponding semi-circular edges defining an inlet opening of the spherical seat when the support element is assembled.

Across the independent claim, the inventive coverage centers on linking annular test-tube support elements into a chain using a spherical joint with a spherical seat and spherical appendix, implementing the joint and receiving structure via two coupled semi-shells with semi-seats, and stabilizing test-tube insertion in a receiving seat delimited by elastically yielding tabs, with an inlet opening defined by corresponding semi-circular edges.

Stated Advantages

Enables shaking/turning over of individual test-tubes while remaining attached to the chain.

Allows stably receiving a test tube via a receiving seat delimited by elastically yielding tabs.

Notes durable structural resistance for prolonged use.

Documented Applications

Supporting and maintaining test-tubes attached in a chain during shaking/turning over.

Providing identification of patient/sample/exam position using an identifying device in a dedicated seat.
