Abstract

Apparatuses, systems, devices, mechanisms, and methods are used to locate an ABTT terminus and then to measure the temperature of the ABTT terminus.

Core Innovation

The invention relates to systems and devices for locating an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus and measuring a temperature of the ABTT. A device is adjustable in a vertical direction so it can be placed at different heights corresponding to a user, and it includes a temperature sensor sized and dimensioned to detect and measure the temperature of an ABTT terminus. The system further includes a display configured to receive and display the temperature measurement, with the display arranged directly on top of the temperature sensor so the user can view the display while detection and measurement occur.

In another aspect, a device is configured with a vertically moving infrared sensing arrangement to locate an ABTT terminus. The device includes a support base, a sliding mechanism arranged vertically on the support base, and an infrared sensor attached to the sliding mechanism. The infrared sensor acquires a thermal image of a human face and transmits the thermal image to a processor that analyzes the thermal image to determine a location of an ABTT terminus and transmits a result of the analysis, and a display receives and displays the analysis result while the thermal image is acquired.

The disclosed implementations emphasize user alignment and in-situ viewing by arranging the display directly on top of the sensing element, both for direct temperature measurement and for thermal image analysis of a human face. The disclosure further describes refinements that add infrared imaging-based recognition and configurations for measuring different regions associated with left and right ABTT terminus temperature patterns, including thermopile arrays and multi-sensor designs for right/left ABTT measurement, as well as pressure detection for actuation and related measured user information.

Claims Coverage

The partial document provides two independent claims: clm-00001 and clm-00009. Across these claims, the inventive coverage focuses on vertical adjustability/movement for ABTT terminus detection, temperature or thermal-image acquisition, processor-based ABTT terminus location determination, and a display arranged directly on top of the sensing element for user viewing during measurement.

Vertical adjustable device with sensor and on-top display for ABTT temperature measurement

A support and a device adjustably attached to the support so the device is adjustable in a vertical direction to allow for a plurality of positions having different heights, the device comprising a temperature sensor sized and dimensioned to detect and measure the temperature of an ABTT terminus of a user, the temperature sensor configured to provide a temperature measurement, and a display configured to receive and display the temperature measurement, wherein the display is arranged directly on top of the temperature sensor such that the user can view the display while the temperature of the ABTT terminus is detected and measured.

Sliding vertical infrared imaging with processor-based ABTT terminus location and on-top display

A support base, a sliding mechanism arranged vertically on the support base and configured to move in a vertical direction along the support base, an infrared sensor attached to the sliding mechanism and configured to acquire a thermal image of a human face and to transmit the thermal image, a processor configured to receive the transmitted thermal image, to analyze the thermal image to determine a location of an ABTT terminus, and to transmit a result of the analysis of the thermal image, and a display configured to receive the results of the analysis of the thermal image and to display the results of the analysis, wherein the display is arranged directly on top of the infrared sensor such that a user can view the display while the thermal image of the human face is acquired.

The independent claims cover (i) a vertically positionable ABTT temperature measurement device with a temperature sensor and a display arranged directly on top of the sensor for direct viewing during detection, and (ii) a vertically sliding infrared imaging device that acquires and analyzes a thermal image of a human face to determine a location of an ABTT terminus and displays the analysis result on a display arranged directly on top of the infrared sensor during acquisition.

Stated Advantages

Allows the user to view the display while the temperature of the ABTT terminus is detected and measured (display arranged directly on top of the temperature sensor).

Allows the user to view the display while the thermal image of the human face is acquired (display arranged directly on top of the infrared sensor).

Documented Applications

Locating an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus and measuring ABTT temperature on/adjacent a user’s face using temperature measurement devices and infrared imaging approaches.

Using measured right/left ABTT temperature patterns and temporal dynamics as part of clinical rationale and outcome examples associated with risks of aneurysm, cancer, seizures, infection progression, abscess, Alzheimer’s/spread, and stroke [procedural detail omitted for safety].
