Abstract
A microwave device capable of increasing an amount of heat generated at the tip end thereof. The microwave device having a central conductor that transmits microwaves, an insulator covering the central conductor, and an external conductor covering the insulator. The central conductor is exposed to the outside from a tip end of a microwave irradiation part for the first time, and an externally exposed part of the exposed central conductor is bent toward the base end side of the microwave emitting unit so as to be along the external conductor.
Core Innovation
The microwave device is capable of radiating microwaves and includes a central conductor operable to transmit microwaves. A first insulator covers the central conductor, and an external conductor covers the first insulator. The central conductor is exposed from a tip end of the microwave device.
An externally exposed part of the central conductor is bent toward a base end side of the microwave device so as to be along the external conductor. The external conductor has a concave slit formed along an axial direction of the external conductor, and the concave slit comprises right and left wall surfaces along the axial direction.
The externally exposed part of the central conductor is arranged in the concave slit so as to be disposed between the right and left wall surfaces of the concave slit. An outer peripheral surface of the concave slit is covered with a second insulator, and the second insulator is operable to prevent the externally exposed part of the central conductor from coming into contact with the external conductor.
Claims Coverage
The document includes one independent claim (clm-00001). It defines five inventive features describing a microwave-conducting structure with insulation and a concave axial slit arrangement, including contact prevention for the bent central-conductor portion.
Central conductor with exposed tip and first insulator
A central conductor operable to transmit microwaves; a first insulator covering the central conductor; and the central conductor being exposed from a tip end of the microwave device.
Externally exposed central-conductor part bent along external conductor
An externally exposed part of the central conductor being bent toward a base end side of the microwave device so as to be along the external conductor.
Concave axial slit in the external conductor with right and left wall surfaces
The external conductor having a concave slit formed along an axial direction of the external conductor, the concave slit comprising right and left wall surfaces along the axial direction of the external conductor.
Bent central-conductor part arranged within the concave slit
The externally exposed part of the central conductor being arranged in the concave slit of the external conductor so as to be disposed between the right and left wall surfaces of the concave slit.
Second insulator covering outer peripheral surface to prevent contact
An outer peripheral surface of the concave slit being covered with a second insulator, and the second insulator being operable to prevent the externally exposed part of the central conductor from coming into contact with the external conductor.
Overall, the claim coverage focuses on a microwave radiator structure where an exposed central-conductor portion is bent toward the base and positioned within a concave axial slit of an external conductor, with first and second insulators configured to control electrical arrangement and prevent contact between the bent central-conductor portion and the external conductor.
