Abstract
An HFNC system, including at least one first sensor disposed on a first housing, a compensating device disposed on a second housing and a the controller communicatively connected with the at least one first sensor and the compensating device respectively; where the at least one first sensor is configured to collect first sensing data, and send the first sensing data to the controller; the controller is configured to receive the first sensing data, generate a first driving signal according to the first sensing data, and send the first driving signal to the compensating device; and the compensating device is configured to receive the first driving signal, where the first driving signal is used to cause vibration of the compensating device according to the first driving signal, vibration of the second housing caused by vibration of the first housing is compensated by the vibration of the compensating device.
Core Innovation
An HFNC system includes a controller, at least one first sensor, a compensating device, a first housing disposed with the at least one first sensor, and a second housing disposed with the compensating device. The controller is communicatively connected with the at least one first sensor and the compensating device, respectively, and the at least one first sensor senses vibration of the first housing to collect first sensing data and sends the first sensing data to the controller.
The controller receives the first sensing data, generates a first driving signal according to the first sensing data, and sends the first driving signal to the compensating device. The compensating device receives the first driving signal and uses the first driving signal to cause vibration of the compensating device according to the first driving signal, and vibration of the second housing caused by vibration of the first housing is compensated by the vibration of the compensating device.
Variants include collecting second sensing data indicative of vibrational amplitude and vibrational phase of the second housing, and using second sensing data together with a first threshold value to adjust the first driving signal based on amplitude scaling factor and phase shifting factor. The compensating device can include an actuator and at least one second sensor communicatively connected to the controller, with the second sensors disposed randomly on a surface of the second housing or disposed on a surface of the second housing in an array, including an averaging operation over sensing data.
Additional embodiments include multiple housings and faster multi-surface compensation using surface-mounted second sensors, and optional sound-producing/noise-reducing components. The optional sound-related aspects include earplugs with microphones/speakers and inverse-signal control, where enhanced patient compliance improves therapeutic effectiveness.
Claims Coverage
The independent claim coverage includes one independent HFNC system claim. Across dependent claims, inventive features include amplitude/phase-based threshold adjustment using second sensing data, internal compensator components with at least one second sensor, defined second-sensor placement strategies on the second housing surface, constraints on the physical relationship of first and second housings as different housings, and optional sound-producing/noise-reducing components with earplugs and connected gas delivery.
Vibration compensation using first sensor, controller, and compensating device between first and second housings
The controller receives first sensing data from at least one first sensor sensing vibration of the first housing, generates a first driving signal according to the first sensing data, and sends the first driving signal to a compensating device on a second housing; vibration of the second housing caused by vibration of the first housing is compensated by vibration of the compensating device.
Amplitude/phase threshold-based adjustment of the driving signal using second sensing data
The controller uses second sensing data indicative of vibrational amplitude and vibrational phase of the second housing to determine whether vibrational amplitude is less than a first threshold value, and adjusts the first driving signal based on amplitude scaling factor and phase shifting factor when the threshold condition is not met.
Compensating device with actuator and internal second sensor(s)
The compensating device includes an actuator and at least one second sensor, and both the actuator and the second sensor are communicatively connected to the controller.
Random or array placement of second sensors on the second housing surface
Second sensors are disposed randomly on a surface of the second housing or disposed on a surface of the second housing in an array.
Different first housing and second housing
The first housing and the second housing are different housings.
Sound-producing and noise-reducing components using earplugs and inverse-signal control
The HFNC system includes a sound-producing device on a first housing and a connecting device with a gas delivering device operatively linked to the sound-producing device; earplugs are communicatively connected to the connecting device and perform noise-reducing processing on sound from the gas delivering device.
The claim set centers on a controller-driven vibration cancellation loop in an HFNC system where a first sensor measures vibration of a first housing and a compensating device vibrates to compensate vibration of a second housing. Dependent features add amplitude/phase-based threshold logic, compensator internal sensing with an actuator, defined second-sensor placement options, and optional sound-producing/noise-reducing components involving earplugs and inverse-signal control.
Stated Advantages
Enhanced patient compliance improves therapeutic effectiveness.
Documented Applications
Patient therapeutic use of an HFNC system, where improved patient compliance is used to improve therapeutic effectiveness.
