Abstract
Methods and systems for using generative content to improve the ability of an individual to communicate using electronic-assisted communication.
Core Innovation
The invention relates to assisting an individual in engaging in electronic-assisted communication by obtaining an input prompt using an electronic assistance device. A computer processor assesses the input prompt to identify a topic category associated with the input prompt and generates a plurality of content responses that are conversationally associated with the topic category, using a large language model operatively networked to the electronic assistance device.
The plurality of content responses is electronically displayed in a display of a user interface, and each content response is associated with an emotion identifier selected from a plurality of emotion identifiers. A first emotion identifier associated with a first content response is visually distinguishable on the display from a second emotion identifier associated with a second content response, and the user interface is configured to permit the individual to select at least one content response as a selected content response.
In another aspect, the invention generates a plurality of emotion identifiers using the input prompt and electronically displays the plurality of emotion identifiers so that the individual can select at least one selected emotion identifier. Content responses associated with the selected emotion identifier are generated using a large language model operatively networked to the electronic assistance device and are displayed for selection.
Claims Coverage
The partial claims provided include three independent claims covering prompt-to-topic-to-conversational responses with emotion identifiers and user selection, prompt-to-emotion identifiers with selection that drives content response generation, and an electronic system implementing the prompt assessment, topic categorization, content response generation, emotion-tagging display, selection, and communication using a large language model.
Topic category associated with an input prompt and conversational content responses
A method that obtains an input prompt using an electronic assistance device, assesses the input prompt to identify a topic category associated with the input prompt, and generates a plurality of content responses using the topic category such that the plurality of content responses are conversationally associated with the topic category.
Emotion identifiers associated with content responses and visually distinguishable presentation
Generating the plurality of content responses so that each content response is further associated with an emotion identifier selected from a plurality of emotion identifiers, and electronically displaying the plurality of content responses such that a first emotion identifier associated with a first content response is visually distinguishable on the display from a second emotion identifier associated with a second content response.
User selection of content responses and electronic communication of the selected content response
Configuring a user interface to permit the individual to select at least one of the plurality of content responses as a selected content response, and electronically communicating the selected content response using the electronic assistance device.
Generating emotion identifiers from the input prompt for selection-driven response generation
A method that obtains an input prompt using an electronic assistance device, generates a plurality of emotion identifiers using the input prompt, electronically displays the plurality of emotion identifiers to permit the individual to select at least one selected emotion identifier, and electronically displays a plurality of content responses associated with the selected emotion identifier generated using a large language model operatively networked to the electronic assistance device.
Emotion-tagged content responses with visually distinguishable emotion identifiers in an electronic system
An electronic system comprising a memory unit, a recording device configured to convey an input prompt to the memory unit, and a processor configured to access the memory unit to assess the input prompt, identify a topic category, generate a plurality of content responses using the topic category such that the plurality of content responses are conversationally associated with the topic category, and associate each content response with an emotion identifier selected from a plurality of emotion identifiers, wherein the user interface provides to the electronic display a first emotion identifier associated with a first content response that is visually distinguishable on the electronic display from a second emotion identifier associated with a second content response.
Selecting a content response and electronically communicating it via the processor
Configuring the user interface to permit the individual to select at least one of the plurality of content responses as a selected content response and configuring the processor to electronically communicate the selected content response.
Across the independent claims, coverage centers on assessing an input prompt to identify a topic category and generating multiple conversational content responses using a large language model, associating content responses with emotion identifiers and visually distinguishing the emotion identifiers in the user interface, and permitting individual selection of responses and electronically communicating the selected response. A second independent claim additionally covers generating emotion identifiers directly from the input prompt to drive selection and subsequent generation and display of emotion-associated content responses, and a third independent claim covers an electronic system implementing these functions using a memory unit, a recording device, a processor, and a user interface.
