Abstract
A computer-implemented system for a remote examination is disclosed. The computer-implemented system includes a treatment device, a master console, a user interface, and a control system. The treatment device comprises one or more slave sensors and a slave pressure system, the treatment device configured to be manipulated while a patient performs a treatment plan. The master console comprises a master device. The user interface comprises an output device configured to present telemedicine information associated with a telemedicine session. The control system comprises one or more processing devices operatively coupled to the master console and the treatment device. The one or more processing devices are configured to receive slave sensor data from the one or more slave sensors, use a manipulation of the master device to generate a manipulation instruction, transmit the manipulation instruction, and during the telemedicine session, use the manipulation instruction to cause the slave pressure system to activate.
Core Innovation
The remote examination/telemedicine system uses a treatment device that includes slave sensors and a slave pressure system. The treatment device is manipulated by a user while slave sensor data and slave pressure-related information are obtained for controlling the treatment device. A master console is provided with a master glove device and a control system that includes one or more processing devices operatively coupled to the master console and the computing device.
The processing devices receive slave sensor data from the slave sensors. A manipulation of the master glove device generates a manipulation instruction, which is transmitted to the control system for use in causing the slave pressure system to activate. In this way, the manipulation on the master glove device is translated into activation of the slave pressure system of the computing device.
The system can further include a pressure gradient used to control the slave pressure system to apply measured levels of force to sections of the computing device. Telemedicine information can be presented via a user interface and an output device during a telemedicine session. The system also includes cloud-based computing with a training engine and machine learning models for recommending examination procedures/treatment plans, and it returns augmented images, including 2D and 3D augmented images, for clinician viewing.
Claims Coverage
This document provides three independent claim types: a computer-implemented system, a computer-implemented method, and a tangible, non-transitory computer-readable medium. Across these independent claims, four main inventive elements are consistently recited: slave sensors with a slave pressure system in a computing device, a master console with a master glove device, generation and transmission of a manipulation instruction from master manipulation, and using that instruction to cause activation of the slave pressure system, with optional refinements including telemedicine information output and pressure-gradient-based control.
Master glove manipulation generating a manipulation instruction
Use a manipulation of the master glove device to generate a manipulation instruction, wherein the master console comprises the master glove device.
Slave sensor data in a computing device with a slave pressure system
Receive slave sensor data from one or more slave sensors, wherein a computing device comprises the one or more slave sensors and a slave pressure system, the one or more processing devices are operatively coupled to a master console and the computing device, and the computing device is configured to be manipulated by a user.
Transmitting the manipulation instruction to cause slave pressure activation
Transmit the manipulation instruction; and use the manipulation instruction to cause the slave pressure system to activate.
Pressure gradient controlling force levels to device sections
Use the manipulation instruction to cause the slave pressure system to activate, wherein the master glove device includes a pressure gradient, and wherein the pressure gradient is used to control the slave pressure system to apply measured levels of force to sections of the computing device.
The independent claims broadly cover a master/slave telemedicine control architecture in which master-glove manipulation generates a manipulation instruction that is transmitted and used to activate a slave pressure system based on received slave sensor data. The document further refines this concept with optional telemedicine information output and pressure-gradient usage to apply measured force levels to sections.
