Abstract

The described apparatuses, devices, and mechanisms are configured to measure the temperature of one or more Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminuses. In addition, some embodiments are configured to provide treatment for the diagnosed conditions and diseases.

In further configurations, a headgear is supported on the patient support device and includes a support portion and at least one adjustable arm with at least one temperature sensor at an end, where the temperature sensor acquires a temperature measurement from the ABTT terminus between the eye and the eyebrow and transmits a signal representative of the temperature measurement. The system also includes hand and foot interfaces supported on the patient support device, each with interior portions for receiving the patient's hand or foot and exterior portions with respective hand and foot temperature modification devices that provide heat or remove heat.

In some configurations the system further includes a torso interface with a torso temperature modification device having an upper portion and a lower portion so that the front and back of the torso can be warmed or cooled.
