Abstract

To enable a user to know a smell or taste (of an object) that matches a specified description, when a card is placed on a sensing surface of a sensor, the description specifying unit specifies which card (or which description) is located at which position on the sensing surface. A first display control unit that controls a projector to display a related description group, which is a description group related to the description shown on the card. A priority specifying unit specifies a priority for each of the displayed related descriptions. A second display control unit displays a relationship between at least one related description included in the displayed related description group and an object that stimulates a sense of smell or taste described by the related description. On displaying the relation image, the relationship being displayed by an appearance in accordance with a specified priority.

Core Innovation

An information processing system identifies a card description based on first identification information stored in a card and identifies a sense of smell or taste associated with an object based on second identification information stored in the object. A sensor obtains the first and the second identification information via near field communication and transmits the first and the second identification information to a computer. The system links a card description to a sense of smell or taste corresponding to the object.

The computer controls a projector to display a related description group comprising a plurality of related descriptions. The related description group is related to the sense of smell or taste that corresponds to the card description, and the computer specifies a priority for each related description included in the displayed related description group.

The computer controls the projector to display a relationship between at least one of the related descriptions included in the related description group and the object associated with the sense of smell or taste described by the at least one of the related descriptions. The relationship is displayed differently depending on the priority, so that the visual display varies based on the priority and the relationship between the related descriptions and the object.

For priority specification, the system supports priority based on a user-provided input, or based on at least one of a user attribute, a user preference, or a user action. The related descriptions are configured to help users recall a smell or taste compared with the card description, and the display can be extended to multiple card descriptions.

Claims Coverage

The partial content includes two independent claim sets: a system and a non-transitory computer readable medium. Each independent claim contains the same core inventive features: near-field identification of card and object, mapping a card description to a related description group for a smell or taste, specifying per-description priority, and projector display of relationships with priority-dependent appearance. Across dependent claims, the priority source and comparative ordering, and the use of multiple card descriptions to support recall, are further refined.

Near field communication of card and object identification information

The system comprises a card storing first identification information and an object storing second identification information, and a sensor configured to obtain the first and the second identification information via near field communication and transmit the first and the second identification information to a computer.

Mapping card description to a sense of smell or taste and a related description group

The computer is configured to identify a card description based on the first identification information stored in the card and identify a sense of smell or taste associated with the object based on the second identification information stored in the object, and to control a projector to display a related description group comprising a plurality of related descriptions, the related description group being related to the sense of smell or taste that corresponds to the card description.

Priority specification for each related description

The computer specifies a priority for each related description included in the displayed related description group.

Priority-dependent relationship display between related description(s) and the object

The computer controls the projector to display a relationship between at least one of the related descriptions included in the related description group and the object associated with the sense of smell or taste described by the at least one of the related descriptions, the relationship being displayed differently depending on the priority.

In the provided independent claims, the inventive focus is on using near field communication to connect card identification with object identification, mapping the card description to a related description group for a corresponding smell or taste, assigning priority per related description, and displaying relationships on a projector in a manner that varies depending on the priority. Dependent claims further constrain how priority is specified and extend the projector display to cases involving multiple card descriptions for recall.

Stated Advantages

Helps users easily recall a smell or taste compared with a card description.
