Abstract
A measuring device for measuring a body temperature of a living being includes a measuring unit for measuring the body temperature. The measuring device includes a first adhesive layer for fastening the measuring device on the body of the living being. The first adhesive layer is arranged at a side of the measuring device intended to face the body when the measuring device is in use. The measuring device includes a skin-compatible protective layer, which is arranged between the first adhesive layer and the measuring unit.
Core Innovation
The invention relates to a measuring device for measuring a body temperature of a living being. The measuring device defines an underside facing the body when deployed for its intended use and comprises a measuring unit configured for measuring the body temperature. A first adhesive layer fastens the measuring unit to the body and is arranged at a side of the measuring unit facing the body when deployed.
A skin-compatible protective layer is arranged between the first adhesive layer and the measuring unit. A heat-conducting element is arranged between the skin-compatible protective layer and the measuring unit and is configured for conducting a heat flow between the body of the living being and the measuring unit during use. The heat-conducting element includes a planar element arranged on a side of the measuring unit facing the body during use, and the heat-conducting element includes a lead.
The lead extends through a carrier unit and is arranged between the planar element and the measuring unit. The measuring unit, the heat-conducting element and the carrier unit are arranged between an outer adhesive layer and the skin-compatible protective layer. An outer layer is adhesively bonded onto the outer adhesive layer and extends over the first adhesive layer and/or the skin-compatible protective layer.
Claims Coverage
The document includes one explicitly independent claim. The independent claim covers a body-temperature measuring device with a layered adhesion/protection structure and a heat-conducting element that forms a heat flow pathway between the body and the measuring unit via a planar element and a lead through a carrier unit.
Layered body fastening with skin-compatible protection
A measuring device for measuring a body temperature of a living being defining an underside facing the body when deployed, comprising a measuring unit, a first adhesive layer configured for fastening the measuring unit to the body with the first adhesive layer arranged at a side of the measuring unit facing the body when deployed, and a skin-compatible protective layer arranged between the first adhesive layer and the measuring unit.
Planar heat-conducting element with heat-flow pathway
A heat-conducting element arranged between the skin-compatible protective layer and the measuring unit and configured for conducting a heat flow between the body of the living being and the measuring unit during use, wherein the heat-conducting element includes a planar element arranged on a side of the measuring unit facing the body during use.
Lead extending through carrier unit between planar element and measuring unit
A heat-conducting element including a lead, wherein the lead extends through the carrier unit and wherein the lead is arranged between the planar element and the measuring unit, and wherein the measuring unit and/or the heat-conducting element are arranged in and/or at the carrier unit.
Outer adhesive and outer layer covering over first adhesive/protective layer
An outer adhesive layer, wherein the measuring unit, the heat-conducting element and the carrier unit are arranged between the outer adhesive layer and the skin-compatible protective layer; and an outer layer adhesively bonded onto the outer adhesive layer and extending over the first adhesive layer and/or the skin-compatible protective layer.
Overall, the independent claim defines a body-temperature measuring device adhered to a living being with a skin-compatible protective layer between the adhesive and the measuring unit, and a heat-conducting element that conducts heat flow using a planar element and a lead positioned between the planar element and the measuring unit while extending through a carrier unit.
