Abstract
A monitoring system for obtaining a video related to medication adherence of a user, includes: a wireless communication device comprising a motion sensor, an ambient light sensor, a first transceiver transmitting data to an external device, and a first controller configured to control the motion sensor, the ambient light sensor, and the first transceiver, the wireless communication device having an attaching portion for being attached to an object containing a medication; and a wearable device including a camera, a second transceiver receiving a signal from the first transceiver, and a second controller configured to obtain video data through the camera based on the signal received through the second transceiver.
Core Innovation
A wearable device includes a camera, communication circuitry, and at least one processor that establishes a communication connection with an external device attached to an exterior of an object for health care. The wearable device receives activation data from the external device through the communication circuitry, where the activation data is generated based on ambient light values and motion values obtained by the external device. The wearable device activates the camera based on the activation data to obtain video related to the health care of the user.
The wearable device further receives identification data from the external device related to a type of the object, and uses the identification data to determine a time period for activating the camera. When the identification data corresponds to a first identification data related to a first type of the object, the wearable device obtains video by activating the camera for a first time period based on the first identification data. When the identification data corresponds to a second identification data related to a second type of the object, the wearable device obtains video data by activating the camera for a second time period based on the second identification data.
In related embodiments, a monitoring system includes a wireless communication device attached to an exterior of an object and a wearable device including a camera, communication circuitry, and at least one processor. The wireless communication device includes an ambient light sensor and a motion sensor and provides activation data using an ambient light value corresponding to brightness and a motion value corresponding to movement of the wireless communication device. The wearable device activates the camera for the time period based on the received activation data and sets the time period to a first time period or a second time period based on identification data corresponding to a first or second type of the object.
Claims Coverage
This document includes three independent claims. Across them, the inventive features repeatedly include activating a wearable camera using activation data generated from ambient light values and motion values, and determining camera activation time periods using identification data related to object types supplied by one or more external wireless communication devices.
Wearable camera activation using ambient light and motion activation data
A wearable device includes a camera and communication circuitry, and at least one processor configured to establish a communication connection with an external device attached to an exterior of an object for health care, receive activation data generated based on ambient light values and motion values obtained by the external device, and activate the camera based on the activation data to obtain video related to the health care of the user.
Time-period determination from identification data related to object types
A wearable device receives, from the external device, identification data related to a type of the object to determine a time period for activating the camera, and obtains video by activating the camera for a first time period when the identification data corresponds to a first identification data related to a first type of the object, and obtains video data by activating the camera for a second time period when the identification data corresponds to a second identification data related to a second type of the object.
Multiple external wireless device activation with respective object-type time periods
A wearable device establishes a communication connection with a first wireless communication device attached to an exterior of a first object and a second wireless communication device attached to an exterior of a second object, receives from the first wireless communication device first activation data and first identification data generated based on ambient light values and motion values for a first object type to determine a time period, obtains first video data activating the camera for a first time period based on the first activation data, and repeats the same activation and time-period determination using second activation data and second identification data received from the second wireless communication device for a second object type.
Monitoring system with ambient light sensor and motion sensor generating activation data for a wearable camera
A monitoring system includes a wireless communication device with an ambient light sensor, a motion sensor, and first communication circuitry, and a wearable device with a camera and second communication circuitry, where the first processor obtains activation data instructing activation of the camera using an ambient light value corresponding to brightness and a motion value corresponding to movement, transmits the activation data and identification data to the wearable device, and the second processor activates the camera for the time period based on the activation data and sets the time period to a first time period or a second time period based on whether the identification data corresponds to a first or second type of the object.
Across the independent claims, the core claim coverage is directed to a wearable camera that is activated using activation data generated from ambient light values and motion values provided by external wireless devices, and that activates for time periods determined from identification data associated with object types, with embodiments covering activation using one external device or multiple external wireless communication devices.
