Abstract

Provided are systems, methods, and computer-readable medium for obtaining specific information about one or more psychological conditions. The information is obtained in a manner such that a second response is based on a first response. Once the information has been obtained, a customized content program for responding to the one or more psychological conditions may be generated.

Core Innovation

The invention relates to a transdiagnostic digital medicine system for cognitive behavioral therapy in which a content delivery service generates and transmits interactive multi-stage queries for presentation in an application executing on a computing device associated with a user. The first query is generated based at least in part on contextual information of the user and is configured to screen for one or more psychological disorders, and the service receives a first user response. The service then generates a second query based at least in part on first content of the first user response, transmits the second query for presentation with a second prompt requesting a second user response, and receives the second user response.

Based at least in part on the second user response, the service generates a customized content program configured to direct the user through exercises to address the one or more psychological disorders. The system associates the questioning process and the resulting customized content program with content sessions and multimedia presentations, including audio segment and video segment, and outputs the customized content program to the computing device.

The invention further includes generating and customizing the content program using contextual information and ongoing feedback and situational context, including dynamic updates of sessions and internal graph branches or nodes in content graphs such as question graphs, slide graphs, and decision trees. A customization engine and databases are described, including a content data database, a query data database, and a user data database, with adaptive processes for driver scoring and situational-triggered guidance notifications.

Claims Coverage

The partial content contains three independent claims: a method, non-transitory computer-readable media, and a computing system. Across these independent claims, there are two core inventive workflows: a two-stage query screening process based on contextual information and user responses, and the generation and output of a customized content program configured to direct the user through exercises.

Two-stage disorder screening via contextual first query and response-driven second query

Generating a first query based at least in part on contextual information of a user, configured to screen for one or more psychological disorders; transmitting the first query for presentation in an application and receiving a first user response; generating a second query based at least in part on first content of the first user response; transmitting the second query for presentation and receiving a second user response.

Customized content program generated from second user response to direct exercises

Generating a customized content program based at least in part on the second user response to the second query, wherein the customized content program is configured to direct the user through exercises to address the one or more psychological disorders; outputting the customized content program to the computing device.

Non-transitory media implementing the two-stage screening and content program output

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions that cause operations comprising generating a first query based at least in part on contextual information; transmitting for presentation and receiving a first user response; generating a second query based at least in part on first content of the first user response; transmitting for presentation and receiving a second user response; generating a customized content program based at least in part on the second user response; and outputting the customized content program to the computing device.

Computing system that performs the two-stage screening and customized program output

A computing system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computer-executable instructions that cause the one or more processors to generate a first query based at least in part on contextual information and transmit it for presentation, receive a first user response, generate a second query based at least in part on first content of the first user response and transmit it for presentation, receive a second user response, generate a customized content program based at least in part on the second user response, and output the customized content program to the computing device.

Across the independent claims, the inventive coverage centers on interactive two-stage questioning and generating and outputting a customized content program configured to direct the user through exercises to address one or more psychological disorders.
