Abstract
The present invention relates to pesticidal mixtures comprising one biological compound and at least one fungicidal, insecticidal or plant growth regulating compound as defined herein and respective agricultural uses thereof.
Core Innovation
The disclosed invention relates to pesticidal synergistic mixtures comprising Bacillus subtilis MBI600 (NRRL B-50595/MB1600) as compound II combined with either a fungicidal compound IA or an insecticidal compound IB. In one embodiment, compound IA is thiram. In another embodiment, compound IB is selected from chlorantraniliprole and cyantraniliprole.
The mixture is defined such that a combination of compounds IA or IB and compound II exhibits synergy. The disclosure describes reduced dose, broad spectrum, knock-down plus prolonged control, resistance management, and improved plant health, and it states that the combined compound I/IB or IA with compound II provides synergistic pest control and enhanced plant health effects even without pest pressure.
The document further describes multi-component combinations in which a third component compound III is selected from Bradyrhizobium, including Bradyrhizobium japonicum and other Bradyrhizobium species listed, with specified exclusions, and it optionally includes a jasmonate-derived compound IV such as methyl jasmonate. The disclosure also includes kit formulations and treatment of plant propagation material, including seed-treatment use cases.
Claims Coverage
Two independent claims define a pesticidal synergistic mixture composition and a method for protecting plant propagation material and/or improving plant health. Across these independent claims, the core inventive features are the defined pairing of compound II (Bacillus subtilis MBI600, NRRL B-50595) with either compound IA (thiram) or compound IB (chlorantraniliprole/cyantraniliprole) in which the combination exhibits synergy.
Fungicidal compound IA plus Bacillus subtilis MBI600 synergy mixture
A mixture comprising a fungicidal compound IA wherein compound IA is thiram, and Bacillus subtilis MBI600 as compound II having the accession number NRRL B-50595, wherein a combination of compounds IA and compound II exhibits synergy.
Insecticidal compound IB plus Bacillus subtilis MBI600 synergy mixture
A mixture comprising an insecticidal compound IB selected from the group consisting of chlorantraniliprole and cyantraniliprole, and Bacillus subtilis MBI600 as compound II having the accession number NRRL B-50595, wherein a combination of compounds IB and compound II exhibits synergy.
Treating plant propagation material with synergy mixture for pest protection and plant health
A method for protection of plant propagation material from pests and/or improving the health of plants grown from said plant propagation material, wherein the plant propagation material are treated with an effective amount of thiram and/or chlorantraniliprole and cyantraniliprole, together with Bacillus subtilis MBI600 as compound II having the accession number NRRL B-50595, wherein a combination of compounds IA or IB and compound II exhibits synergy.
The claim coverage centers on synergy between Bacillus subtilis MBI600 (NRRL B-50595) and a specifically defined pesticidal partner, either thiram or chlorantraniliprole/cyantraniliprole. The second independent claim applies this synergy to treating plant propagation material for pest protection and/or improved plant health.
