Abstract
Provided is a pest control composition containing a novel iminopyridine derivative and other pest control agents.Provided is a pest control composition containing an iminopyridine derivative represented by the following Formula (I) and at least one of other pest control agents:[in the formula (I), Ar represents a 5- to 6-membered heterocycle which may be substituted, A represents a heterocycle having a 5- to 10-membered unsaturated bond including one or more nitrogen atoms, and has an imino group substituted with an R group at a position adjacent to the nitrogen atom present on the cycle, Y represents hydrogen, halogen and the like, and R represents any one of groups represented by the following Formulae (a) to (e), (y) or (z)].
Core Innovation
The invention relates to a pest control composition comprising at least one iminopyridine derivative selected from N-[1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)pyridin-2(1H)-ylidene]-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide and acid addition salts thereof, and at least one insecticide selected from chlorantraniliprole, afidopyropen, and agriculturally and/or zootechnically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. The composition is defined such that the at least one iminopyridine derivative and the at least one insecticide are each present in a range from 0.1 to 80% by weight.
The document describes Formula (I) compounds corresponding to Compound P212 and related iminopyridine derivative compounds, including additional Formula (I) embodiments and numerically identified compounds. It further addresses pest control compositions comprising these iminopyridine derivatives together with additional pest control agents and associated application contexts for plant or animal protection.
The specification also includes pesticidal activity tests, including activity against insecticide resistant pests, and describes combinations showing enhanced mortality when Compound P212 and Compound 1-20 are combined with other insecticides, and sometimes fungicides. It further describes formulation forms including dust, granules, microcapsules, microgranules, liquid drops, emulsifiable concentrate, liquid-drop solutions, wettable powder, water-dispersible granule, flowable, and carrier types for agricultural and zootechnical pest control contexts.
Claims Coverage
The document includes two independent claims directed to pest control compositions combining a specified iminopyridine derivative with specified insecticides or other pest control agents, with a 0.1 to 80% by weight constraint. The claims also refer to protecting plants or animals and, in dependent claims, specify target pest species.
Iminopyridine derivative plus specified insecticide composition
A pest control composition comprising at least one iminopyridine derivative selected from N-[1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)pyridin-2(1H)-ylidene]-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide and acid addition salts thereof, and at least one insecticide selected from chlorantraniliprole, afidopyropen, and agriculturally and/or zootechnically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, with each component present in a range from 0.1 to 80% by weight.
Iminopyridine derivative plus animal parasitic pest control agent composition
A pest control composition comprising at least one iminopyridine derivative selected from N-[1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl)methyl)pyridin-2(1H)-ylidene]-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide and acid addition salts thereof, and at least one other pest control agent that is a control agent for animal parasitic pests and is selected from chlorantraniliprole, afidopyropen, and agriculturally and/or zootechnically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, with the at least one iminopyridine derivative in a range from 0.1 to 80% by weight.
Overall, the claim coverage is centered on a specified iminopyridine derivative combined with chlorantraniliprole and/or afidopyropen, including acceptable acid addition salts, under a 0.1 to 80% by weight limitation. The claims further indicate pest control use for plants or animals and identify specific arthropod pest species in dependent claims.
Stated Advantages
Excellent pest control effects.
Reported high mortality (≥80%) for several arthropod targets in pest control tests.
Improved performance versus imidacloprid against imidacloprid-resistant Nilaparvata lugens populations.
Improved performance versus single-agent use.
Examples of synergistic outcomes for combinations with other insecticides/fungicides using Colby’s equation.
Enhanced mortality in mixed-agent tests when Compound P212 and Compound 1-20 are combined with other insecticides, as evaluated using Colby’s equation.
Effects against insecticide resistant pests.
Improved pest control at low dose effectiveness against a wide range of pests.
Documented Applications
Insecticidal activity against multiple arthropod pests using foliar/soil-drench/topical tests, including pests listed in dependent claims such as Frankliniella occidentalis, Laodelphax striatella, Aphis gossypii, Plutella xylostella, Spodoptera litura, Chilo suppressalis, Callosobruchus chinensis, and Haemaphysalis longicornis.
Protection of plants or animals from pests by applying the pest control composition to a region to be treated, either simultaneously or independently.
Protection of plants or animals from pests by applying an effective amount of the pest control composition to pests, plants, plant seeds, soil, cultivation carriers, or animals.
Use as a pest control composition intended to be used against at least one specified arthropod pest.
Pesticidal activity against numerous insect pests, including foliar treatment, dipping, soil drench, topical, and other exposure routes.
Mixed-agent tests combining Compound P212 and Compound 1-20 with various insecticides and sometimes fungicides, with reported mortality and preventive values.
Protecting plants or animals from pests by applying the pest control composition to a region to be treated, or by treating pests, plants, plant seeds, soil, cultivation carriers, or animals with an effective amount.
Use against Frankliniella occidentalis, Laodelphax striatella, Aphis gossypii, Plutella xylostella, Spodoptera litura, Chilo suppressalis, Callosobruchus chinensis, and Haemaphysalis longicornis.
