Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for creating, editing, sharing and distributing high-quality, media-rich web-based communications. The communications are created in a layered fashion that integrates user-selected text, colors, background patterns, images, sound, music, video, or other media. The systems and methods are used to generate, edit, broadcast, and track electronic presentations, brochures, advertisements (such as banner advertisements on highly trafficked media websites), announcements, and interactive web pages, without the need for the user to understand complex programming languages.
Core Innovation
A SaaS multimedia communication system creates, edits, shares, distributes, and tracks media-rich web-based creative works. The system organizes creative works using a layered template approach that combines content such as text, colors, patterns, images, sound/music, video, and other media into structured layered communications.
The system includes a communication builder engine having a project builder and a media repository, and a project viewer rendered via a client browser window UI. The project builder uses template organization with classes of slide types and layered design files, including background, main, foreground, and navigation layers, to structure how creative work content is assembled and viewed.
The project object is serialized and rendered by the system into multiple output formats for distribution and viewing. The system supports viewing modes including a live view and an edit view, and uses distribution and sharing programs that send communications to selected recipients and protocols to enable propagation of updates.
