Wireless Research Center
The Wireless Research Center (WRC) is an independent, private nonprofit research center based in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region. Since 2010, WRC has advanced global innovation in wireless connectivity through applied research, engineering, and certified testing. WRC supports clients worldwide, helping develop and commercialize wireless products from concept to high-volume production. The organization is recognized for its unique intellectual property policy, allowing clients to retain full ownership of jointly developed IP. WRC’s core initiatives—WRC Technologies, RIoT, Connected Communities, and the Advanced Mobility Collective—focus on improving wireless technologies, accelerating startups, supporting entrepreneurs, and fostering technology-led economic development.
