Slater Technology Fund

Lead or co-invests in seed- and early-stage technology companies via direct equity and participation in seed/Series Seed rounds.
Special-purpose vehicles (SPVs) and fund management
Creates and manages SPVs and special-purpose funds to pool private capital for specific portfolio companies and to administer external capital (e.g., state grants) for regional venture development.
Syndication and partnership vehicles (RightHill Ventures)
Operates and partners with RightHill Ventures to form syndicates and funds targeted at university research-driven startups, allowing larger commitments to promising research-based companies.
Operational support and active portfolio engagement
Provides mentorship, board membership/observation, introductions to customers/partners/investors, recruiting support, and strategic advice to portfolio companies.
Community and networking events
Organizes and co-hosts informal networking events, presentations, panels, and webinars to connect founders with potential partners, customers, and investors.
Ecosystem programs and translational support (EDA grant / Translational Ventures)
Administers grant-funded programs and partnerships (e.g., with Brown University and RI Bio) to accelerate translational research into commercial startups and to expand regional life-science activity.
