Products

Occidiofungin (antifungal natural product lead)

A first-in-class natural-product antifungal lead isolated from bacterial cultures, reported to be rapidly fungicidal and active against drug-resistant fungal pathogens; advanced through nonclinical studies with regulatory permission to proceed to Phase 1 clinical testing.

Mutacin (lantibiotic-derived antibacterial lead)

Lantibiotic analogs developed for treatment of Gram-positive infections; lead analogs have been identified with activity against MRSA and S. pneumoniae and demonstrated preclinical efficacy competitive with vancomycin in systemic infection models.

Services

On-site cultivation of proprietary bacterial strains and downstream purification to produce lead compounds for preclinical and clinical programs.

Design and conduct of nonclinical toxicology and efficacy studies using rodent models to support safety and efficacy claims.

Preparation of regulatory applications and design of early-phase clinical protocols to enable Phase 1 studies.

Negotiation and management of licensing agreements and technology transfer to commercial and agricultural partners.
