Queen City Angels


Queen City Angels (QCA) is a Cincinnati-based angel investor group that provides early-stage equity capital, mentoring, deal syndication and operational support to startups. QCA operates member-managed pooled "First Funds," runs recurring founder and investor education programs (Entrepreneur Boot Camp, Morning Mentoring, eKickStart, Startup College) and runs the Ascent membership program to lower the entry threshold for new investors. The group emphasizes active member counsel, pro-bono mentoring and regional ecosystem partnerships to support company growth and exits.

Services

Angel investments and fund management

Direct early-stage equity investments through individual member commitments and pooled First Fund vehicles. Acts as lead investor for some deals and coordinates syndication with partner investors.

Mentoring and board-level support

QCA members provide hands-on mentoring, board participation and advisory support on strategy, fundraising, go-to-market and operations.

Due diligence and investment screening

Structured pitch review and diligence processes carried out by member teams to assess investment readiness and terms prior to committing capital.

Education and training for entrepreneurs and investors

Recurring educational programs and workshops for founders (two-day Entrepreneur Boot Camp and related clinics) and training for prospective and current angel investors.

Deal syndication and network access

Coordinates co-investments and syndication with other angel groups, venture funds and regional partners to scale financing rounds and provide follow-on capital introductions.

Corporate, legal and sponsor relationships

Facilitates introductions between portfolio companies and corporate partners, legal sponsors and service providers to support business development, pilots and transactional needs.
