Occupational Therapy Association of California


The Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC) is a member-driven, not-for-profit professional society established in 1976. It serves, promotes, and supports over 22,000 licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants throughout California. OTAC is governed by elected members, including a Board of Directors, and works through various committees to advance the profession, advocate for legislation, and provide resources and education to its members. The organization emphasizes core values such as integrity, competence, leadership, advocacy, professional development, volunteerism, and inclusiveness. OTAC hosts events, conferences, and symposiums, and maintains a comprehensive advocacy and legislative program to support occupational therapy practice and practitioners in California.
