LSG Investments is an evergreen venture fund focused on early-stage life sciences companies in Pennsylvania. Founded in 2002 with funds from the Master Tobacco Settlement Act, LSG provides early-stage capital and operational expertise to bridge the gap between pre-seed and Series B, with investments intended to strengthen the state’s life sciences ecosystem and improve patient care.

Funding (early-stage capital)
Provides early-stage investment capital to life science companies, typically starting at $250,000–$500,000 and with the ability to invest up to $5 million at pivotal growth points. Focus is on bridging funding gaps between pre-seed and Series B.
Applied expertise and operational support
Provides business advice tailored to life science companies’ needs, assistance locating facilities, recruiting management talent, identifying additional funding sources, and curated connections to scientific and business networks.
Applicant and presentation support
Guidance and logistics for companies invited to present to LSG staff, including meeting format, recommended presentation contents, time allowance (up to two hours), and administrative contacts. LSG does not sign NDAs at the presentation stage.
