ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research

ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) is a premier institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) dedicated to supporting the national malaria control program through basic, applied, and operational research aimed at eliminating malaria from India. The institute conducts mosquito fauna surveys, develops genetic and molecular markers for malaria vectors and parasites, studies insecticide resistance, evaluates new insecticides, biolarvicides, insecticide-treated bed nets, drugs, and diagnostic kits, and plays a key role in manpower development through training and technology transfer.
