One-year, clinically focused fellowship providing supervised operative experience, clinic and emergency care exposure, didactic conferences, and opportunities to participate in research projects.
Hand transplantation clinical program (VCA)
Comprehensive clinical service that evaluates candidates, performs multiteam transplant procedures, provides perioperative care and long-term outcome monitoring and rehabilitation for hand transplant recipients.
Patient rehabilitation and orthotic services
Postoperative and nonoperative hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation including physical/occupational therapy services and orthotic design and fitting to restore function.
Translational research studies and preclinical projects
Conduct of preclinical animal-model studies and investigator-initiated translational projects to evaluate cell-based therapies and interventions that could reduce graft rejection and improve graft healing.
Continuing education conferences and visiting-professor lectures
