CathConnect
Early-stage medical device company focused on reducing traumatic accidental removal of indwelling urinary catheters. Originating from a university capstone project, the team developed a retrofit attachment that integrates with standard Foley catheters to disconnect under traction and be reconnected for continued use. Development has included clinician co-design (100+ interviews/user tests), bench performance testing, and early-stage commercialization activity including grants, awards, and conference presentations.
