5AM Ventures is a life-science focused investment firm founded in 2002 that funds and builds next-generation therapeutic and life-science companies. The firm emphasizes early-stage private therapeutics (with an emphasis on Series A) and operates a public equity strategy that invests in small- and mid-cap public and later-stage private biotech and life science companies. 5AM also runs an internal incubator (the 4:59 Initiative) to discover, incubate and fund breakthrough science and to establish proof-of-concept enabling Series A financings.
