Abstract
Provided is a container for connection to a device for suctioning bodily fluids and for supplying a fluid substance to a human or animal body, said container comprising an interior which is divided into a first region for collecting the suctioned bodily fluids and into a second region for providing the fluid substance, The first region of the interior is separated from the second region by means of a flexibly realized partition wall.
Core Innovation
A container is provided for connection to a device for suctioning bodily fluids and for supplying a fluid substance to a human or animal body. The interior is divided into a first region for collecting the suctioned bodily fluids and a second region located within the first region for providing the fluid substance, with a vacuum connection connecting to a vacuum line so that a vacuum is generated in the first region and suctioning through a secretion line into the first region is performed by the vacuum generated in the first region.
The first region is separated from the second region by a flexibly realized partition wall. In particular embodiments, the flexibly realized partition wall is realized as an interior pouch that separates the first and second regions and can delimit the second region. The container further comprises a removable cover, and the pouch partition wall can be emptied or filled through a cover closure without removing the cover.
In other aspects, the container comprises a pump head of a peristaltic pump for supplying the fluid substance or comprises a tube guide adapted to interact with a pump head of a peristaltic pump for supplying the fluid substance. The container is also described with a vacuum connection arranged in the cover and a secretion line extending through the cover, with an auxiliary connection on the cover for attaching an auxiliary line to flush and/or measure pressure of the secretion line, and with a transparent portion on the container.
Claims Coverage
The provided material includes three independent claims. Across these independent claims, the main inventive features are a dual-region container for suctioning and supplying a fluid substance, separation of the regions by a flexibly realized partition wall, and peristaltic pump integration for delivering the fluid substance, with additional cover-based interfaces such as vacuum and secretion line routing, a tube guide, auxiliary connection(s), and removable cover provisions for a pouch partition wall.
Dual-region container for suctioning and supplying
A container for connection to a device for suctioning bodily fluids and for supplying a fluid substance to a human or animal body, comprising an interior divided into a first region for collecting the suctioned bodily fluids and a second region located within the first region for providing the fluid substance to the human or animal body.
Vacuum connection and secretion line for suctioning bodily fluids
A vacuum connection for connection of a vacuum line in order to generate a vacuum in the first region of the interior; and a secretion line connection for connection of a secretion line which runs to the human or animal body in order to suction the bodily fluids through the secretion line into the first region of the interior by means of the vacuum generated in the first region of the interior.
Supply line connection for fluid substance delivery
A connection for connection of a supply line in order to supply the fluid substance from the second region of the interior through the supply line to the human or animal body.
Flexibly realized partition wall separating interior regions
The first region of the interior is separated from the second region by means of a flexibly realized partition wall.
Peristaltic pump head or tube guide interaction for supplying fluid
The container comprises a pump head of a peristaltic pump for supplying the fluid substance or comprises a tube guide which is adapted to interact with a pump head of a peristaltic pump for supplying the fluid substance.
Removable cover with vacuum connection arranged in the cover
The container comprises a removable cover; and a vacuum connection is arranged in the cover and a secretion line extends through the cover.
Collectively, the independent claims require a container that divides an interior into a suction-collecting first region and a fluid-supplying second region within that first region, with the regions separated by a flexibly realized partition wall. The suction function is driven by a vacuum connection and a secretion line, while the fluid substance supply is configured via a supply line and, in one independent claim, via peristaltic pump head/tube guide interaction. A removable cover provides integrated vacuum and secretion line routing, and other independent-claim-supported implementations include cover-based structural features.
Stated Advantages
Making different connecting parts disposable and interchangeable with a common drive unit.
Incorporating the pump head in the connecting part or interacting tube guide to reduce cost and service-life requirements.
Enabling simultaneous suctioning via a vacuum pump and substance conveyance via a peristaltic pump.
Space-saving volume changes in a combined container concept with separated suction and instillation or supply regions by a flexibly realized partition wall.
Documented Applications
Negative pressure wound therapy.
